Ricci Leigh Smith – Chef/Owner
Ricci was born in South Africa and came to Canada when she was six years old. Her passion for cooking began watching her mother create endless dinners at home. She completed her apprenticeship at The Four Seasons hotel. During this time, she travelled to Germany, Switzerland and United States with the Canadian Olympic Culinary Team as a support chef. She honed her skills in several fine dining restaurants before opening The Perfect Bite Catering in 2008.
Lea P. – Pastry Chef
Lea was born in Versailles, France. When she was a little child her parents would take her to the fine Patisserie shops in Paris. These visits inspired her to begin her journey mastering the Art. In 2013 she began her training in Paris and graduated with a diploma in Pastry Arts. Afterwards, she worked in Paris and several Michelin Star restaurants before coming to Canada in 2017. In 2018, Lea joined The Perfect Bite Catering and brought her experience in French Patisserie.
Andrew M. – Chef
Andrew was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He completed his apprenticeship at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in 2010. He then travelled to Australia, working at the Park Hyatt in Melbourne. His next journey took him to Europe, where he worked as Sous Chef at the renowned Savoy Hotel. After 4 years, he returned home to Vancouver to continue his career at The Botanist restaurant. He joined the Perfect Bite Catering team in 2020.
Mutinta J. – Chef
Mutinta was born in Zambia and raised in South Africa. She grew up with two parents that loved to cook. This inspiration took her to the United Kingdom in 2015, where she continued her culinary career. In 2020, she moved to Canada and joined us at The Perfect Bite Catering.
